Navigating Personal Wellbeing & Sexuality in CHamoru Communities, written by Timmy C. de la Cruz, PhD & Lisa Linda Natividad, PhD, is a culture-based learning resource focused on personal wellness, sexuality, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases in Chamoru communities. It includes ten lessons that address culturally distinct attitudes, myths, beliefs, and human behavior. It also aims to explore barriers of contracting HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. This resource was created by experts with in-depth knowledge of CHamoru culture and history. Their efforts in developing these lessons were guided and informed by CHamoru community leaders, educators, parents, youth, and members of the LGBT community.
